GSLV-F16 / NISAR

NISAR (NASA-ISRO Synthetic Aperture Radar) is the first satellite of its kind — a joint mission combining ISRO's S-band and NASA/JPL's L-band radar on one spacecraft, able to see through cloud cover and darkness.
It carries a 12-metre deployable reflector, built by JPL, unfurled roughly 9 metres from the spacecraft after launch. From its sun-synchronous orbit, NISAR reimages nearly all of Earth's land and ice surfaces every 12 days, tracking millimetre-scale ground shifts, ice-sheet movement, and vegetation change.
